Blue Line Drilling Management Team
Born and raised in Coleman, Texas, Jerry has spent most of his life in the oil well drilling business. He started in 1976 working lead tongs and steadily worked his way up the ladder.
Before starting Blue Line Drilling, Jerry was the Operations Manager for Sand Dollar Drilling Co. He possesses a wide area of knowledge pertaining to the drilling business and related equipment.
Jerry’s expertise in the area helps customers to drill economically and successfully. He is very involved in the day to day operations and takes a very hands on approach.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with five permanent teaching certificates and a Master of Science Degree in Genetics. From 1972 to 1981, Jim was the Science Department Chairman and Head Coach at Hawley High School in Hawley, Texas. He was the Pricinpal from 1980 to 1981.
After working as a Credit Manager, managing 20 corporate accounts from 1981 to 1984, Jim entered the oil drilling business in 1984 as the Contract Manager and Director of PR for Bandera Drilling. After leaving Bandera Drilling in 2000, Jim has held senior and executive management positions with Cleere Drilling, Heart Land Drilling, Ringo Drilling and Sand Dollar Drilling. In 2009, Jim partnered with Jerry McDonald to start Blue Line Drilling.
Health/Safety/Human Resource Manager
Logan McDonald joined the Blue Line Drilling family in December 2011. Previously, Logan served for approximately five years as the Health/Safety/HR manager for a drilling company with over 300 employees.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Economics. He continues to pursue ongoing education dealing specifically with the health and safety of all Blue Line Drilling employees.
Logan is a MEDIC FIRST AID CPR/AED instructor trainer and has also completed a trainer course in H2S Gas. He also is authorized to teach OSHA 10 and 30 hour General Industry classes to employees.
